在薄膜繞制機(jī)(圖1)上,大型的薄膜卷軸在或正或反地旋轉(zhuǎn)。在薄膜繞制過(guò)程中,機(jī)械運(yùn)動(dòng)必須通過(guò)傳動(dòng)電動(dòng)機(jī)的控制技術(shù)來(lái)進(jìn)行控制。 
要求獲得現(xiàn)有直線和旋轉(zhuǎn)軸的位置,使用絕對(duì)值編碼器可以精確地測(cè)量位置(圖2和圖3)。
高質(zhì)量的繞制過(guò)程必須基于高精度的定位,尤其在薄膜厚度極小(6 μm)和高速旋轉(zhuǎn)(1000 m/min)時(shí),控制要求更為嚴(yán)格,以保證薄膜繞制過(guò)程和卷軸更換的正常進(jìn)行。
